How to extract Arabic text from a screenshot

Arabic text in pictures is hard to copy, and many online tools upload your file. PageSnap reads Arabic and English on your own computer.

Steps

1. Capture the page or image with PageSnap.
2. Open Extract and choose Read text from images (OCR).
3. Select the words and press Copy text, or use Copy all text.

Arabic and right-to-left text

Text that is real text on the web page is copied exactly, in the correct right-to-left order. OCR is used for text that is only a picture. Very decorative fonts or low-resolution images can still cause mistakes, so check important text.

Private by design

The recognition engine is part of the extension. Your screenshot is never uploaded, so it is safe for IDs, contracts and chats.

PageSnap can also be used in Arabic: open Settings and choose العربية under Language.
