How to screenshot a whole WhatsApp Web chat

A long WhatsApp conversation does not fit on one screen, and stitching screenshots by hand is slow. PageSnap captures the entire open conversation in one go.

Capture the conversation

  1. Open web.whatsapp.com and open the chat you want.
  2. Click the PageSnap icon or press Alt+Shift+P.
  3. PageSnap scrolls the message area, loads older messages and joins everything into one tall image.
  4. Blur names, numbers and photos, then download or copy it.

What is included

  • The messages of the open conversation, from the oldest it could load to the newest.
  • Not the chat list on the left, the top bar or the typing box. For those, use Capture visible area (Alt+Shift+V).

Protect people's privacy first

Chats contain names, phone numbers and photos of other people. Before you share, use Auto-blur sensitive data to cover phone numbers and emails, and the Blur tool for names and pictures. Everything happens on your computer and nothing is uploaded.

Very long chats are limited to a maximum height. You can change it in Settings.
