Guide
Draw and edit on any website, then take the screenshot
Click the PageSnap button on any page and a slim tool strip appears, like the tool bar of a design program. Mark up the live page first, then capture it.
Steps
- Add PageSnap to Chrome and pin it to the toolbar.
- Open any website and click the PageSnap button. The tool strip opens at the left. Drag it anywhere you like.
- Pick Pen, Highlighter, Arrow, Box, Oval, Line, Step number or Type a note and draw on the page. Change colour and size at any time.
- Use Edit the words on the page to change text, Hide or Blur to cover private details, and Move to rearrange parts.
- Press Full page or Visible part. The strip hides itself and your marks are in the screenshot.
Make the strip yours
Press + to add more tools, right-click a tool to remove it, and drag tools into the order you like. You can also set this in Settings. Pick more screenshot modes too: a chosen area, one element, a 5-second timer, copy to clipboard, save as PDF, or all panels of a chat app side by side.
Good to know
- Changes happen only in your open page. Reload it and the real website is back.
- Chrome does not let any extension run on its own pages, the Chrome Web Store or the PDF viewer.
- Nothing is uploaded. Everything stays on your computer.
Frequently asked questions
Does it change the real website?
No. Your drawings and edits exist only in the page you have open. Reload and they are gone.
Can I keep the toolbox on every website?
Yes. Turn on Show on every website in Settings, or allow it the first time Chrome asks.
Does it work in my language?
The toolbox follows your Chrome language and is available in 12 languages.
