Questions and fixes
Where is the PageSnap icon?
Click the puzzle-piece icon in the Chrome toolbar and press the pin next to PageSnap. The icon then stays in the toolbar.
Why does Chrome ask for permission?
Chrome asks once, because PageSnap needs to work on the page you are on. It only acts on the tab where you click it, and nothing is uploaded. The optional ad blocker asks separately because blocking works on every website.
Why can I not capture some pages?
Chrome does not let any extension capture its own pages, such as the New Tab page, the Chrome Web Store or chrome:// pages. Every normal website works. For local files, turn on “Allow access to file URLs” for PageSnap on the extensions page.
The toolbox does not open. What now?
Reload the page and click the PageSnap icon again. If the page is a Chrome page or a PDF viewer, the toolbox cannot open there; use the popup actions instead.
Where are my screenshots saved?
Only on your computer. PageSnap keeps your recent captures in the browser and saves downloads to the folder you choose in Settings.
How do I use PageSnap in my language?
PageSnap follows your Chrome language. You can pick another one in Settings under Appearance. Fifteen languages are available.
