How to Take a Full Page Screenshot on Windows 10 and 11

Windows shortcuts only capture what you see. Here is how to capture a whole long web page on Windows, step by step.

How to Take a Full Page Screenshot on Windows 10 and 11

Windows makes it easy to grab your screen, but a long web page does not fit on one screen. This guide shows the options and when to use each.

Built-in Windows tools

  • Win+Shift+S opens Snipping Tool: rectangle, window or full screen.
  • PrtScn copies the whole screen to the clipboard.
  • Alt+PrtScn copies only the active window.

These capture the visible part only. For a scrolling page you would take several shots and join them by hand.

Microsoft Edge Web Capture

Edge has a Web Capture tool (Ctrl+Shift+S) with a full page option. It is handy if you use Edge, but Chrome does not have it.

Chrome DevTools

  1. Press F12, then Ctrl+Shift+P.
  2. Type screenshot and pick Capture full size screenshot.

One click with an extension

Install PageSnap, open the page and press Alt+Shift+P. It captures the entire page, handles sticky headers, and opens an editor where you can add arrows, text and blur, then save as PNG, JPG or PDF.

Tip: if text looks blurry on a high-DPI laptop, PageSnap keeps your display's full pixel density, so the capture stays sharp.
